Maza chooses training from Normec Foodcare
Sjoerd Remmers, team leader at Training & Education, says the combination between e-learning and on-site training is powerful. "We call it blended learning and we have already successfully trained more than 800 employees this way. The e-learning often reveals which aspects employees find difficult. We can pay extra attention to those in the physical training. And we can highlight current themes in the physical training, for example because they have emerged in the audit. Finally, the trainees are given an improvement assignment, so that they learn to apply the knowledge in practice. That completes the circle."
E-learning and training combined

Customized
Martin opted for a customized e-learning. "Tailoring the e-learning did not take us much time," he says. "The trainer from Normec Foodcare spent a day here to collect the necessary data. We then talked through which aspects I did or did not consider important for temporary workers. Based on that, we removed slides or added slides. And the trainer took pictures at our location, so that employees can easily make the link with practice in the e-learning. Finally, I did the training myself to check for errors."
The QA manager likes the fact that the training is completely customized. "For example, it is important for us that employees can read Dutch well, so they can see if the products have the right labels. That's why we added some pictures of labels to the training. And we supplemented the training with a few trick questions to see how attentive the employees are following the training."
Blended learning
Martin has been working with this training for a few months now, and he is satisfied. "It's nice that I now know in advance what temporary employees have in their skills. That way I can put them in the right place, for example in production, on the packing line or in labeling. He wants to start similar training courses for permanent employees. "In doing so, we will combine e-learning with on-site training. That too will be customized training. Each department has its own CCPs and focal points. The idea is that these will recur for each department in the training, so that employees learn what is specifically important to them."
