Normec Foodcare is located nationwide, including a branch in Zwolle. The Wine Carriers is located on the same premises as Normec Foodcare's Zwolle branch. "The process is short, flexible, fast and decisive. Because Normec Foodcare has an office in the same office complex, the lines of communication are short."

Ter Huurne says he finds the cooperation pleasant. "Normec Foodcare is a source of questions for us when we are not sure. We can go to the Quality Assurance project manager with all our questions and comments." In addition to services from Quality Assurance, De Wijndragers also purchases other services from Normec Foodcare. Ter Huurne explains, "We purchase various services, such as the QA software and microbiological analyses. This suits us very well! In the future, we may want support in checking new and existing labels. For now we still do this in-house."

BRC certification

"We were planning to have our company BRC certified. A now former employee of Normec Foodcare was an acquaintance of our former owner. That's how we ended up with Normec Foodcare," says Milos ter Huurne, Production manager at De Wijndragers. "We were looking for connection of theory with practice, knowledge of legislation and were looking for guidance for the BRC process." Quality Assurance guided De Wijndragers in this process at the time and still provides support every year. Meanwhile, Quality Assurance's consultant supports the employees of De Wijndragers on the total quality system and on legislation and regulations.
