Diagnostics
Safe collection and processing of samples requires that suspected and diseased plants be presented completely sealed. You can do this by using leak-tight bags and additional packaging in a sealed box if desired.
Soil samples uncovered cultivation
If you want to analyze soil samples for legally required analyses such as derogation and phosphate differentiation we can take care of this sampling. For non-mandatory analyses you can also bring the soil samples yourself.
Pesticides accredited (RvA, L335)
For fruits and vegetables, the general rule is that a sample must be at least 1 kg and at least 10 pieces.
Flowers and plants Residue analysis in flowers or plants requires at least 300 grams of fresh crop without soil contamination. For a good representative sample over the lot, it is necessary to take leaves from at least 15 plants, or 15 whole flower stems. Because different plant parts may have different residue levels, this way you will obtain a result that is an average for the lot.
Soil For soil, a sample of 300 grams is sufficient. However, to obtain a good representative sample here as well, you should first take a larger mixing sample over the lot. With this, after proper mixing, you will make 300 grams of sample for analysis.
Water To determine residue in water at the appropriate low detection limit, at least 1 liter of water is required. Furthermore, we ask that you preferably deliver the sample in a glass bottle.
Horticulture including RHP
Control of effectiveness of water disinfection The control of the effectiveness of the UV installation for water disinfection, is done by determining the general germ count of bacteria and fungi. A sample is taken both before and after the disinfector. You should use special disinfected bottles for this purpose. A disinfected bottle is 250 ml and contains a red cap. You can request these bottles from us. We can also independently sample at your location.
Food safety and water requirements according to GlobalGAP The E. coli germ count, with a limit of 1,000 colony-forming units per 100 ml, is considered an indicator of water quality. For this sampling and analysis, use special disinfected bottles. A disinfected bottle is 250 ml and contains a red cap. You can request these bottles from us. We can also take samples independently at your location. Important here is that we have to start the analysis within 24 hours after sampling.
Checking for Legionella in air conditioning cooling towers or in sprinkler systems To check for the absence of Legionella in sprinkler or cooling systems, it is necessary that you have the sample taken by an independent sampler. This way you are assured of a recognized analysis report.
Analysis for emergencies and third-party damage Damage in your crop can be caused by an external factor or by delivery of incorrect material. Then remember that for proper comparison and for insurers it is necessary that:
- You have the sample taken independently;
- You have both a damage sample and a non-damage sample analyzed.
To avoid form errors, it is advisable to consult with our specialist in advance.
