Risk Assessment of Cross-Contamination Using the Normec QRA Calculation Tool
Conducting a well-founded risk analysis for potential cross-contamination with allergens is essential in allergen management. To accurately assess the actual risk, this analysis must be performed quantitatively. Only then can results be compared with applicable standards and reference values to support, for example, precautionary allergen labeling (PAL).
In practice, conducting such a quantitative risk analysis often proves to be complex, time-consuming, and prone to errors. That is why Normec Foodcare Online and Normec Label & Specification have jointly developed the Normec QRA Allergen Tool.
