The laboratory is located in Herentals (Belgium) and was founded in 1993 by Jozef De Smedt. Jozef was active in the chocolate industry and found his first customers here. Soon they were able to expand further into the broader food market through word of mouth from satisfied customers.
In the agri-food industry, it is essential to be able to guarantee the microbiological safety of your products. Normec Micro Smedt helps you do just that with thorough microbiological analyses. As an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory, we detect pathogens and other unwanted microorganisms so that you can efficiently guarantee the safety of your products.
