Smarter quality control within one workflow
OneThird and Normec have further expanded their collaboration through an integration between OneThird’s scanning technology and Normec QC One. OneThird specialises in non-destructive quality control for soft fruit, using AI-driven scanning technology to measure parameters such as Brix values in strawberries and blueberries. The generated data is processed securely, with privacy and data integrity built into the platform from the ground up.
Through the integration with Normec QC One, this quality data is automatically transferred to the Quality Management System (QMS). As a result, quality insights are immediately available within existing quality processes and workflows. Organisations save time, reduce manual data entry and gain faster access to reliable and actionable quality data.
Automatic integration of quality data
OneThird performs non-destructive quality measurements using AI-powered scanning technology. The scan results are automatically linked to Normec QC One.
Examples of available quality insights include:
- Brix measurements for strawberries and blueberries
- Shelf-life predictions for soft fruit
- Dry matter measurements in avocados
- Detection of visible defects and quality deviations
Because the data is automatically available within Normec QC One, quality controls, reporting and follow-up actions can all be managed from one central environment.
Less manual input, more control over quality
The integration removes a manual step from the quality process. This reduces the risk of input errors and enables a more efficient way of working.
Companies gain faster insight into product quality and can make better-informed decisions within their daily operations.
In addition, the integration supports organisations in further digitising quality processes and centralising quality data.
Integration with existing quality processes
Normec QC One supports organisations in digitising quality workflows, product specifications, reporting and follow-up actions.
An important part of the platform is the Product Specification Manager, which enables organisations to centrally record and manage product specifications. The integration with OneThird aligns with the broader strategy of Normec QC One to bring together different data sources, AI solutions and systems within one quality environment.
Collaboration in practice
The integration is already live and is being used by several growers and trading organisations in the Netherlands, including The Greenery.
Within daily quality control operations, the automatic flow of data helps organisations save time and further improve the reliability of quality data.
