The agricultural sector forms the foundation of the food chain. Dairy, meat, eggs, potatoes, grains, fruits, and vegetables all start with the farmer and end up on the plate. In between lies a chain of logistics, processing, and sales.
Every link in that chain is crucial to producing a final product that is safe, high-quality, and delicious.
Normec supports organizations within the agricultural sector in gaining insight into the quality of raw materials, products, and processes. The goal: a safe and reliable product for the consumer.
“Feed” refers to “animal feed.” This ranges from simple raw materials used in livestock feed, such as corn, wheat, and soybeans, to complete compound feeds. Both wet and dry products can be used as animal feed.
Whether it’s meat, dairy, baked goods, or beverages, our experts have been working on challenging projects for years. From specialized assignments to large-scale projects.
We do this across all stages of the supply chain, focusing on quality, food safety, and compliance. Our approach is pragmatic, centered on sustainable improvement and demonstrable results.
The quality of potatoes, vegetables, and fruit requires constant attention. In a supply chain that is constantly changing, maintaining control over produce quality is essential. Normec supports you with in-depth expertise, practical quality control, and market insight, ensuring that your products always meet the highest standards.
Importing, storing, and trading food products involves a wide range of procedures, rules, and requirements. Regulatory requirements, in particular, make the process complex. Expert guidance is therefore essential to mitigate risks and ensure demonstrable control over processes. Normec supports organizations in carefully and efficiently managing food import and transport flows.
Normec has extensive experience across a wide range of non-food sectors, from feed, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals to the packaging industry and import/export. Thanks to our diverse background, we are able to support organizations outside the food industry with quality issues, process optimization, and compliance.
Food safety is not determined by the food itself alone; packaging also plays an essential role. Packaging materials can affect product quality and safety, while consumers cannot independently detect the presence of harmful substances. Historical incidents and recalls demonstrate how important it is to systematically manage risks related to packaging. Normec supports packaging companies in establishing, assessing, and improving food safety systems.
When consumers are in a store, supermarket, or wholesale outlet, they expect products whose quality and food safety are demonstrably guaranteed.
Whether you operate under your own quality system or a hygiene code such as the CBL Hygiene Code, a consistent focus on food safety and quality is essential at all times.
At Normec Foodcare, we collaborate with a network of specialized companies, each with its own expertise within the food sector. From laboratory testing and inspections to consulting and training, together we offer a comprehensive range of services.
Thanks to this pooling of knowledge, we support organizations throughout the entire supply chain, from raw materials to the final product. In this way, we help ensure and continuously improve quality, safety, and compliance.
