FSSC 22000
FSSC (Food Safety System Certification) 22000 is a GFSI-recognized standard. The FSSC 22000 scheme contains a certification model that can be used for the entire food chain. The documents contain requirements for companies in the food chain. If the requirements are met, FSSC 22000 certification can be obtained. The purpose of FSSC 22000 is to effectively manage a company's food safety responsibilities.
Reason for change
The main factors that led to FSSC 22000 version 6.0 are:
- Incorporation of the requirements of ISO 22003-1:2022 regarding the requirements for the audit and certification of a food safety management system (FSMS)
- Adaptation of the requirements so that organizations can meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Some changes for continuous improvement of the standard
