Why was there a need for digitization within your organization?
"We like to keep up with the times. It was not necessary to digitize, but this offers many advantages for us so why not? Flipping through folders during visits or audits was just tedious and sometimes took a very long time," Anna says. She indicates that adapting procedures before digitization went reasonably well. "But these adjustments were not always reflected in the table of contents and, as a result, there was often an old version of the table of contents. Now this is no longer the case."

Moreover, by using the Inspections module, I no longer have to spend time making reports for hygiene inspections."
What time savings has working with the software led to for you?
By digitizing documents through the online manual, Special Refining Company B.V. has realized a time savings of approximately 80%. When performing digital inspections, time savings are estimated at 60%. Anna: "In addition to being able to find documents very quickly during audits, changes and adjustments to versions of documents are automatically tracked, eliminating the risk of errors. We have also noticed that by digitizing our handbook, we finish external audits about one to one and a half hours earlier."
How do you experience the support in case of questions or problems?
Special Refining Company B.V. uses various support options, such as the online manual, mail and online chat. "The support team works really effectively. One responds quickly and gives concrete answers to your questions. For example, I had reported a problem on October 10, 2017. The problem was solved on the same day with a clear story as to why the problem occurred in the first place," indicates Anna.

About the customer orientation, Anna says: "I experience this as positive, because the wishes of customers are listened to. In the beginning we encountered many obstacles internally when using the online manual. All our reported questions and points for improvement were solved by Normec Foodcare Online and all our wishes were implemented in the application. The communication about this was honest and clear and we really appreciate this."
